1937 Lincoln-Zephyr Coupe. Made in Detroit Michigan.
Lincoln needed a new model with a fresh design to attract attention after the Great Depression. To do this, they choose to streamline the new Zephyr series. The car featured a low, tear drop shaped silhouette, a raked windshield, and rear fender skirts.
The Lincoln-Zephyr was powered by a 4.4L, flat head V-12 motor capable of 110HP. The flat head V-12 was a derived from the flat head V-8. Top speed was 80 MPH.
The Lincoln-Zephyr was built from 1936 to 1942. Over 180000 of these cars were built during that period of time. Production was halted when the United States entred into WWII.
