1936 Cord 812SC Westchester Sedan. Made in Connersville Indiana.
The Cord 812SC Sedan was remarkable for its low-profile styling which featured retractable headlights and no running boards.
Cord 812SC's got their power from a supercharged 4739cc Lycoming V-8 motor capable of 170HP. Supercharged 812's were distinguishable by their chrome plated exhaust pipes. The car had an electronically controlled semi-automatic 4-speed transmission. The Cord 812SC was front wheel drive with independent front suspension. The Cord 810 and 812 were in auto shows in late 1935. Over 7000 810 and 812's were quickly ordered. Cord had trouble keeping up with requests to build the car and fell behind in production. The car was produced from 1936 to 1937.
