The Porsche 911 S featured added power, decreased weight, and enhanced handling. The car came with a flat 6-cylinder, air cooled, 1991cc motor that was capable of 160HP. The base model 911 was available with 130HP. The 2.0L motor was hooked up to a 5-speed transmission. The car weighed a mere 2299 lbs and had a top speed of 140 MPH. The car had ventilated brakes on all four wheels. The diameter of the front sway bar diameter was increased and a rear sway bar was factory installed to improve the handling. The 'S' stands for 'super'.
