1946 MG TC

After WWII, there was little time and money available for many automobile manufacturers to develop new cars. Many of them returned to the market with pre-WWII models.

The TC is a slightly modified version of the TB (1939 to 1940) which replaced the TA (1936 to 1939). The MG TC was produced from 1946 to 1949. During that four-year run, a total of 10001 TC’s were produced.

The MG TC was designed to be an affordable two-seater sports car. It was one of the first British sports cars to sell globally in high numbers. The car was an immediate success in the US and paved the way for the sale of other British sports cars from manufacturers such as Triumph and Austin Healy.

The MG TC was powered by a 1250cc, 4-cylinder motor producing 54HP with a top speed of 75 MPH. The TC was only available in right hand drive.
