The Packard Limousine was built in Detroit from 1915 through 1923. This model was mass produced with over 35000 cars built during that period of time.
Even though Packard a premier automobile company and was known for quality bodywork, the Anderson’s had this car shipped to Brewster & Co in New York to have the coachwork fabricated.
In a time when most luxury cars were powered by in-line 6-cylinder motors, the Packard Limousine was powered by a V-12 motor which was nicknamed “The 12 Apostles”. The Packard Limousine was considered as the most luxurious American built car of the era. It had a top speed of 80 MPH.
This car’s nickname was ’12 Apostles’.
