The car in the photos is a replica of the Mini Cooper S that Paddy Hopkirk and his co-driver, Henry Liddon, drove to victory in an unexpected win the the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally. The four day race started in Minsk Russia on narrow icy roads which favoured the front wheeled drive Mini Cooper and ended in Monte Carlo. With their diminutive little Mini, Hopkirk and Liddon took on and defeated much more powerful factory teams from Mercedes-Benz, Saab, Volvo. Citroen, and Ford.
