On 05 September 1926, Claude Temple re-gained the two-wheeled land speed record that he had lost two years prior when he took his little motorcycle to 121.41 MPH. Streamlining was not yet available so the record was set with pure horsepower. The modified 996cc JAP motor was capable of 58HP.
The motorcycle in these pictures is a recreation of the the bike that Temple rode that day to regain his land speed record. It is a 7/8th's scale representation built from wood and copper and bicycle parts.
