Mario Andretti already had sprint car racing experience when he got he opportunity to race this car. The car's 4-cylinder Ford motor was replaced with a Chevy V8. In 1963, Andretti raced this car throughout Pennsylvania. The experience allowed Andretti to develop the racing skills that he needed to move up to USAC racing.
This car has been fully restored to its original condition prior to 1963. A 4-cylinder Ford motor was placed back into the car during restoration. The car weights 1000 lbs and has a top speed of 100 MPH.
