In 1969, Al Unser was set to race this Grant King prepared car up the Pike's Peak Hill Climb. Just before the race, Unser broke his leg in an accident and turned the car over to Mario Andretti. This would be Andretti's third and final attempt at the event. Racing this car, Andretti became the first driver to break the 12 minute barrier which resulted in the fastest time up the 186 turn course and the race victory.
Grant King prepared the body and chassis. The car had a 350 cubic inch Chevy engine capable of 130 MPH. The car weights a mere 1200 lbs.
