Parnelli Jones and Vel Meltich teamed up during the early 1970's to create a powerful racing team. Their two drivers, Mario Andretti and Al Unser, were a winning combination on both dirt or asphalt. This particular car, which was co-driven during the season by either Andretti or Unser, won 9 out of 11 races that season including four straight (two for Andretti and two for Unser).
The body and chassis were built by Grant King. The car was powered by a 255ci 4-cam Ford motor. The car weighed 1200 lbs and the top speed was 160 MPH.
